A 40-Year Bond Captured in Photographs

To celebrate 40 years of sister city ties, Akita and Passau launched a collaborative photo project. As part of this initiative, we designed the book Flow glow, which features local photographers from both cities.

The photographers visited each other’s towns and captured daily life as well as unique local scenes. Afterwards, both cities held exhibitions, allowing people to share and experience these cross-cultural moments.

Each photo is paired with the artist’s own text, which adds a personal layer of insight. As a result, the book reflects the beauty, daily life, and lasting connection between Akita and Passau.
